Aggregated analyses are to be offered commercially in future — separately, not through this portal; see the privacy notice. Behind the study stands no company but a single person, who finances it from his own means and is personally responsible for it. The details above appear here because the law requires them and because you should know who is writing to you — not in order to offer you anything.

The five illustrations on these pages — the image in the header, the three motifs in the section “What we ask about” and the wide band — were designed with the help of generative AI and then edited by hand. They are illustrations, not photographs: they show no actual people, no specific buildings and no events that took place. We say so here because this portal promises accuracy elsewhere.

Explanatory video

The explanatory video in the “Take part” section was made by Christian Sondergeld: concept, sequence of images, script, voice and editing. It uses material from this portal only — the logo, the illustrations, the letter and screen recordings of the questionnaire. The city map is based on the official district boundaries of the City of Düsseldorf; the source is credited on screen.

The music at the end is “Tell Me How” by The Stockwells, written and recorded by Christian Sondergeld. It does not come from a music library and was not licensed from a third party; it is used here with the author’s consent.

Captions are available in all twenty-one languages of this portal; below the video, a transcript sets out what is said and what is shown.

Design and technology

Anyone reading a website should know who made it and what runs in the background. Both are set out here.

Concept, text, design: Christian Sondergeld. No agency was involved and nothing was commissioned from third parties.
Implementation: Hand-written HTML, CSS and a little JavaScript — no framework, no site builder, no content management system. An AI assistant (Claude by Anthropic) was used in drafting, programming and text work. Every page was reviewed by Christian Sondergeld, who is responsible for it; the details of the study come from the study design, not from an AI.
Logo and illustrations: The logo was designed specifically for the panel. The illustrations were designed with generative AI (Google Gemini) and edited by hand — see the image credits.
Explanatory video and music: Both by Christian Sondergeld — sequence of images, script, editing and the music at the end. It is served from our own server and starts only when clicked; see the image credits.
Fonts: The system fonts of your device. No fonts are loaded from third-party servers.
Hosting: STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany; servers located in Germany. Details on data processing on our behalf are in the privacy notice.
Third-party services: None. No analytics, no cookies for advertising or audience measurement, no embedded maps or third-party fonts. The explanatory video is hosted on the same server as this page — there is no YouTube, Vimeo or other video service embedded, and playing it sends no request outside this portal. See also Technology.
